Our History
Originally established in 1981 over the years Juke Joint has become a major influence and contributor to the world of collectable jukeboxes.
The Juke Joint was originally established by Tony Holmes, a legend among UK Jukebox collectors, who has been restoring, repairing and writing about classic jukeboxes since the 1970’s, until his retirement.
At the end of 2004, current owner Ian Clarricoates swapped his long-time interest in and enthusiasm for jukeboxes into full time ownership and management of the Juke Joint. Ian has learned a thing or two from Tony and continues to offer the same superb service the Juke Joint has become famous for.
Our Shop
A visit to the Juke Joint is essential to anyone in the UK who is seriously interested in buying a Jukebox and requiring as much information as possible. We are always pleased to offer advice and help.
The Juke Joint is in premises to the East of Sheffield not far from junction 30 or 31 of the M1 Motorway. The showroom includes not only jukeboxes, but record players, records, books, manuals, posters and other related ephemera.
In addition to buying and selling jukeboxes, Juke Joint carries out repairs, restorations, full rebuilds, routine servicing and amplifier overhauls etc. In fact you name it and if there is a Jukebox involved, the Juke Joint can usually do it and therefore have most aspects of the classic jukebox business well and truly covered.
A free consultation is always available to assist you in deciding what sort of jukebox you should go for. You will be able to see and have any hands-on-experience of several of the classic machines you may previously have only seen on TV or in magazines. There will be machines for sale and machines awaiting restoration. You will be able to examine machines in the process of being restored and see for yourself the quality of our work and the lengths we go to in order to provide the most sympathetic restoration possible. Books and photographs on the subject of jukeboxes are available for your perusal or to purchase.
You may be looking for a starter machine, or something a little more classic to restore yourself. You may want one of a range of reproduction models or perhaps our specialised restoration service with the model of your choice. Whatever your requirements are, you will be more than welcome at the Juke Joint.
We look forward to meeting you and showing you our collection of jukeboxes and related items.
